Doddie'5 Ride USA with Ride of the Legends

Doddie5 Ride USA is a charity cycle event traversing the USA from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

For any cyclist, this event is the challenge of a lifetime. To cycle from the Pacific to the Atlantic between two iconic cities; to traverse two mountain ranges, the Rockies and the Appalachians; and to cycle distances you never thought you could achieve.

The Ride of Legends’ mission is to give you the best possible chance of completing this challenge. Their team have vast experience in organising multi-day cycle events, and this event will be fully supported with a committed and experienced team.

The ride starts in San Francisco and finishes in New York.

Distance: 3,250 miles or 5,150km. Average distance/day: 94 miles.

Two rest days - West of Denver and Indianapolis.

Dates: May 18th - June 22nd.

Fully supported with: Ride Director, Medic, Mechanic, Chef, Kit Man, Media Liaison, Drivers.

Accommodation will be large 29ft RVs.

The on road logistics will include the route, water stops, lunch stop and mechanical and medical support. The Ride of Legends chef will ensure that your food intake during and after each day's cycle is sufficient in protein, carbohydrates and minerals to sustain the effort you will be putting in each day.

The event will support My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and also an ALS charity in the USA.
