Glenluce Vintage Tractor Rally
GLENLUCE VINTAGE TRACTORS is holding its annual Vintage Tractor Rally in the village park with proceeds from the catering department going to charities.
The Vintage Tractor Rally commenced in 2001 following the outbreak of Foot and Mouth, that year they had 13 tractors on display. The annual event has grown over the years and last year they had 123 tractors along with some stationery engines. This is quite an event in the area which includes a voluntary short road run around the coast line.
Since the start Maggie’s Kitchen provides the catering for that day, this consists of soup, filled rolls and home baking provided by a group of local ladies. Over the years they have donated approximately £65,000 from the kitchen along with a sponsored August Road Run which all goes to charity.
The committee have decided that this year one of the charities to receive half of the proceeds will be My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
This year the event is being held on Sunday 7th June 2020 which starts at 11.00am.
