Sunrise to Sunset Passing Challenge

Saturday 07 May 2022

Upminster Rugby Club

On Saturday 7th May 2022, at Upminster Rugby Club, George and Lewis , with the help of their U-13 team mates and URFC Club Members, will aim to keep a rugby ball, constantly moving during daylight hours.

Sunrise 5.20am to Sunset 8.22pm…..!

Motor Neurone Disease, although a rare condition, is one that is very close to the heart of our rugby community.

Lewis lost his great aunt in 2018 ...... Auntie Marian was an outgoing, fun loving lady who was always first on the dance floor and the last to leave it. She was a big kid at heart and loved spending time playing crazy games with the kids.

George lost his great uncle, in 2021 .... Colin was a big man in every sense of the word to all those who knew him and will always be missed.

In their honour the boys wish to help raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, (set up by Doddie Weir) which funds research into awareness and potential cures of MND, as well as helping sufferers to live as fulfilled a life as possible, when battling the disease.

You can donate to Geroge and Lewis's challenge via their JustGiving page.
