Clinical trial support in Glasgow

Summary

This award will enable Dr Danielle Leighton to have one day/week dedicated research time as she becomes a consultant neurologist, under the supervision of Dr George Gorrie. It will also provide funding for research nursing support and administrative support in the Clinical Research Facility.

Why this funding is important

This funding supports ongoing and, importantly, future research into MND at a clinical level in Glasgow. The impact of the funding would focus on Dr Leighton and enable her to pursue research interests in MND when she becomes a consultant Neurologist in the NHS.
