Dr Caroline Barry, Consultant in Palliative Medicine, Honorary Clinical Associate Professor and Co-Director, Norfolk MND Care and Research Network will use the funding to support consultant programmed activity time (dedicated research time) and administrative support to increase clinical trial involvement and recruitment. This will include supporting underserved areas in the local rural and coastal areas, both within and outside of existing MND networks including Suffolk via a dedicated clinical research clinic for MND.

Why this funding is important

This funding helps to ensure that every person with MND is offered the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, and also offer research opportunities to neighbouring areas.
