Summary
TRICALS is a large initiative to accelerate the search for effective treatments for MND, by bringing together experts across Europe and coordinating clinical trials effectively. Support from the Foundation is allowing several clinical trials in the TRICALS consortium to open and recruit at sites across the UK, enabling more people with MND in the UK to be part of research.
Why this research is important
Supporting the long-term infrastructure (i.e. recruitment of key staff) for clinical trials in the UK will ensure the expertise to run clinical trials in MND is sustained as more new treatments enter the drug development pipeline.Find out more about TRICALS here.
