Fundraising Support

There’s no end to the ways that you can fundraise for the Foundation. Over the past few years, we’ve been constantly impressed by the imaginative and creative ways in which people have supported us.

Whether you’re rowing the Atlantic, organising an auction or cycling the length of the country, we’re hugely appreciative of your support.

Spread the word & promote your event

The more, the merrier. So why not tell as many people as possible about your plans? You can get in touch with your friends, colleagues, the press and your local community.

Social Media

A wonderful way to spread the word is on social media sites, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Go viral with your fundraising – use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn to get your message out!
Shout about your fundraising and encourage your friends to donate/come along to your event
Tell your story on your JustGiving page and use Facebook/Twitter to share why you’ve chosen to fundraise for us and include your JustGiving link!
Post photos or videos of your event or challenge
Thank everyone on Facebook/Twitter after your event

Press

Contact your local press to get the word out and get your community involved. You can’t go wrong with promoting your fundraising activity through local media. You might wish to get in touch with news desks at local newspapers or try to get the local radio and television stations interested in your event.

We may be able to provide assistance in the form of advice for contacting your local press – mention this to the team and we’ll be able to advise further.
