An update on the group of ambitious and enthusiastic cyclists who are cycling up their local hills to help fundraise for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

The Honister 92 Cycling Club are making great progress with their challenge to reach 2.6 million metres of vertical ascent as part of the London Marathon 2.6 Appeal. They are enjoying the stunning scenery in the Lakeland hills and have sent the follwoing update through John Rea who said: "After 6 weeks I would expect fatigue to be kicking in by now, I'm certainly feeling it, but some of the guys are defying gravity in their quest for more and more metres. Some standout performances were a ride by a small group around the Lake District National Park boundary. A distance of 276km and total climbing of 4,435metres and one individual racking up a total of distance 838km and climbing 15,569metres. That particular individual has then gone onto achieve similar totals in subsequent weeks. To end the week as a top 3 climber a 5 figure weeks total is now required."
