Fib Whisky have created a limited edition charity bottling to raise funds for us.
Produced exclusively for Edinburgh’s Whisky Festival, the 24-year-old single cask was distilled by the now closed Port Dundas Distillery, bottled at Fib Whisky’s warehouse in Kirkcaldy, and features artwork by Scottish artist Orla Stevens.
Now for the first time, this whisky is available to purchase online, with £30 from each bottle being donated to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. At the time of writing, only 42 out of 128 bottles remain.
The whisky was fittingly distilled in 2000 - the year of Doddie’s last Scotland cap. It spent 24 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, before being finished for 8 months in a refill sherry butt which had previously held GlenAllachie whisky. As a very gentle, smooth and buttery dram, this special charity bottling is recommended for everyone - from non-whisky drinkers to whisky enthusiasts!
Fib Whisky is the brainchild of two passionate whisky fans with a dream of owning their own distillery. As independent bottlers based in Fife, they buy whisky from various different distilleries, then carry out finishing, and occasionally blending experiments, to create something new and exciting.
