Research update

We continue to play a vital role in the MND community, collaborating with world-leading researchers, organisations and charities sharing our ambitions, all to ultimately drive progress in finding a cure for MND. This is led by Sean McGrath, our Medical Strategy Lead, who has been with My Name'5 Doddie Foundation since we launched back in 2017.

Our involvement in the MND research world is now established and respected. We are funding many MND research programmes, including two important platform trials that are currently being rolled out. Despite the challenges of Covid-19, real progress is being made in research and we continue to work closely with our scientific advisors in pushing this forward. We have also partnered with the Medicines Discovery Catapult, leading neurologists and industry to improve collaboration and accelerate drug discovery. At the same time we are making inroads into government, aiming to be an authoritative and esteemed voice of the MND community and to influence decision-making. We are helping patients in other ways too, such as developing information sources and providing feedback on research and drug developments.
