Doddie's old school, Erskine Stewart's Melville, has launched an online auction in support of the Foundation ahead of their dinner next month.
As the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools put the final touches to their ESMS Dinner for Doddie, which is taking place on 1 February 2019 at the National Museum of Scotland with 710 guests, they are already raising funds which will be shared between the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which aids research into MND, and the ESMS Access to Excellence bursary fund.
Thanks to the fantastic support of the ESMS community and their headline sponsors, Carbon Financial and Craneware, they have launched a digital auction which is open to anyone who would like to support the charities at www.jumblebee.co.uk/esmsdinnerfordoddie .There are over 40 items available from weekends away in the UK to trips overseas, a host of rugby memorabilia and opportunities to play golf on great courses to some really unique items and experiences. Every single one has been donated at no cost to the schools to help to raise funds for the charities. Please have a look through and place bids for any items which appeal to you.
If you are intrigued by the use of the word unique click on the ESMS auction site at www.jumblebee.co.uk/esmsdinnerfordoddie and have a look at Lot 12, an amazing Stamp Portrait created by Michael McGee, a huge supporter of Scottish Rugby in general and Doddie in particular who lives in Trinidad and who was so inspired by Doddie’s amazing spirit that he created something very special for which you are very welcome to place a bid. The Portrait will be displayed in Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh during the run up to the Dinner.
