A Taste of Oban cookery book inspired by a mum with MND has sold out in just four week and is raising funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Copies of the first run of Taste of Oban compiling of recipes from the town’s Inner Wheel members has so far raised £1,108 with a second run incoming.
The book was inspired by former Oban High School pupil Ruth Williamson, who now lives in Edinburgh. Ruth was given two years to live by doctors after being diagnosed with MND, but has incredibly beaten the odds four years later by seeing her daughter Anna start school.
The Inner Wheel Club Oban wants to thank everyone for continued support and encouragement. Special thanks go to Morag MacKinnon and her friend, Elsa McIver for all their commitment.
The 100-page book cost £10 and are available from Bids4Oban office, Outside Edge and by mail order, at an additional cost £1.50, by sending enquiries to tasteofobaniw@gmail.com.
