Breadalbane will continue to support My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, renewing as a Gold Partner for the second consecutive year.
Over the past 12 months, Breadalbane has worked closely with the Foundation, raising both awareness and funds through a calendar of standout events. Supporters gathered at Prestonfield House in May for the Breadalbane Long Lunch, which brought together friends, colleagues and donors to raise awareness and vital funds for motor neuron disease (MND) research. In September, they also hosted their third successful Golf Day at Murrayfield Golf Course.
Beyond hosting events, Breadalbane’s commitment has also been felt on the road. In June, Partner Jamie Lindsay, alongside Nick Apperley and Kenny Logan, joined Doddie’5 Lions Challenge – an epic cycle across four Irish provinces covering 555 miles in just six days. Their efforts, together with fellow riders, contributed to an incredible £625,000 raised for the Foundation.
Reflecting on the renewed partnership, Jamie said:
"It is a privilege to once again partner with My Name’5 Doddie Foundation this year. Over the past year, we’ve been proud to carry out events for the Foundation such as our Long Lunch, our Golf Day, and by taking part in Doddie’5 Lions Challenge cycling around Ireland.
We are excited to extend our commitment to supporting a cause we feel so passionately about. By continuing to raise awareness and funds, we hope to play our part in helping the Foundation achieve its ultimate aim: a world free from MND.
Doddie was a true force of nature who left an incredible legacy in the push against MND. Anyone who spent even a few moments with him has a story to tell, such was his character. At Breadalbane, we are both proud and privileged to support the Foundation that carries on his legacy through their outstanding work. We will continue to do everything we can to raise funds, spread awareness, and support the search for a cure for this devastating disease."
Paul Thomson, Director of Fundraising and Communications at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, added:
"We’re proud to have Breadalbane supporting My Name’5 Doddie Foundation for another year. Their support – from hosting events to taking part in challenges – makes a real difference and helps bring us closer to effective treatments. Partners like Breadalbane are essential in helping us continue Doddie’s legacy and work towards a world free from MND."
