Carrick's Cambridge to Cardiff Cycle

15 July 2020

A 16 year old supporter is cycling 400 miles in a day from Cambridge to Cardiff to raise funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

Carrick Blake will set out from Cambridge on Saturday 25th July at 4am and cycle across the country to Cardiff and hopes to arrive before midnight.

Carrick said: I am an avid rugby player and cyclist. Having seen the effect of MND on Doddie Weir and hearing the personal testimony of a close friend who's family was effected by MND I want to do something to help them."

"MND is an incurable disease that leaves people paralysed and unable to talk and interact with the world in front of their eyes. This sort of struggle is something I struggle to comprehend even when seeing and hearing of it."

"I therefore aim to raise money to help in the fight against MND and help My Name'5 Doddie Foundation continue in their work. The search for a cure goes on and if I can play any part in this then I will be happy, however, it is more important that people don't feel debilitated by the disease and the foundations work helps this."
