Haircut At 1,300 Feet!

07 October 2020

Two Borderers have taken the LockDown Haircut to a whole new level.

Peter Wade of Wade & co. Barbers and Jamie Hetherington from the Bank of Scotland hiked up to the summit of the Eildon hills last month In support of the My Name’5 Doddie foundation. This was no ordinary stroll however as Peter dished out a much needed haircut to Jamie on top of the famous Borders landmarks. The boys have been fundraising for their “chop at the top” for most of this year and Jamie had grown his hair in preparation since before lockdown. They have been overwhelmed by the response of all those who donated and helped spread the word during a very challenging year. As born and bred Border lads, the work of the foundation has always resonated deeply with both Peter and Jamie. The hike was topped off with a spot of piping on what had turned into a glorious day.  It gives the boys great pleasure to be able to present the foundation with a cheque for the very generous donations made by the ever supportive border folk!
