University Hockey Team Cycle For Foundation

27 February 2020

Queen Margaret's University Women's Hockey team raised funds and awareness by cycling all day on static bikes on the campus.

The girls set their day aside and in their own university cycled on rotation from 10:15 am-4:15 pm. All of the money made from the cycle was donated to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
The girls chose the foundation as many of the players are from the Scottish Borders and wanted to raise awareness and help gain interest. As the girls have quite a small team, they decided that they wanted to choose an upcoming and growing charity to donate to.
Even with a small university, the girls in their massive effort managed to spread awareness about the foundation and raise £84 for the charity. The team are aiming to make this an annual event and plan to continue raising money for the foundation.
