Angus Alchemy Teams Up with Doddie Weir's MND Charity to Unveil 'Mistaken Identity' Moonshine ahead of the Rugby World Cup
Angus Alchemy, the county’s newest distillery known for its exceptional moonshine and Scotland’s finest spirits, has proudly announced an exciting collaboration. The Carnoustie based distillery has teamed up with My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to unveil their latest creation, 'Mistaken Identity' Moonshine.
This exciting partnership comes just in time for the highly anticipated Rugby World Cup, promising a unique and flavourful way for fans to show their support for a crucial cause.
The moniker "Mistaken Identity" pays homage to Doddie's hilarious defence during the 1997 Lions Tour to South Africa when he faced allegations of violating a night time curfew.
Together with Doddie’s family, Angus Alchemy has created a unique, much-loved flavour for Doddie, banoffee pie. They will be donating £20 from every bottle to the charity.
Commenting on this collaboration, Campbell Archibald, Distiller of Divergence at Angus Alchemy, expressed his enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to partner with Doddie Weir's MND charity to create 'Mistaken Identity' Moonshine. This project represents our commitment to making a meaningful impact in the fight against Motor Neuron Disease. We invite rugby fans and spirit enthusiasts alike to join us in supporting this vital cause."
Paul Thompson, Director of Fundraising and Communications at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, also shared his thoughts on this exciting endeavour: "We are grateful for Angus Alchemy's support and their innovative approach to fundraising. 'Mistaken Identity' Moonshine is a fantastic way for people to get involved and contribute to our mission of finding a cure for MND. Together, we can make a difference."
'Mistaken Identity' Moonshine is available to purchase online now from the Angus Alchemy website https://angusalchemy.com/product/mistaken-identity-moon5hine/
Rugby fans and spirit connoisseurs are encouraged to grab a bottle and raise a glass to support My Name’5 Doddie Foundation as they cheer on their favourite teams during the Rugby World Cup.
