Last week, we attended the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s International Symposium on ALS/MND. The event brought together MND researchers from across the world (over 40 countries!), and we heard from leading experts on all aspects of MND research, from cell biology, metabolism and nutrition to clinical trial design and translation of lab-based research into the clinic. My Name’5 Doddie Foundation are committed to working with the MND research community to progress the search for a cure, and this virtual platform provided an opportunity for exactly that.
Olivia Bird, Research and Grants Officer at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation said: “It is so promising to hear about the progress being made in lots of areas of MND research. A key aspect of fighting this disease is collaboration, so it was exciting to see so many researchers sharing knowledge, building new connections and sparking new ideas at this symposium. We look forward to working with researchers to build on these ideas to bring meaningful change in the MND treatment landscape.”
We would like to thank the Motor Neurone Disease Association for putting together an insightful programme with so many networking opportunities, and we look forward to joining you again in 2022.
