We are pleased to announce that the Foundation is now a member of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations. The Alliance is an international community for individual ALS/MND associations across the world, acting as a “global gateway” through which members connect with each other, people affected by MND and other stakeholders in the MND community.
Last year, the Alliance published it’s 2022-2025 strategy, committing itself to building Community, Capability and Capacity:
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation CEO, Jill Douglas, said “As a member of the Alliance, we will work alongside the MND Association and MND Scotland to ensure that the needs of people affected by MND in the UK are represented in the global community. We will learn from organisations in other countries to better understand the global MND landscape and join with other research organisations to drive forward the research agenda worldwide. We’re looking forward to expanding our network and working with others towards our shared vision of a world free of MND.”
Catherine Cummings, Executive Director of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Organisations said “We are thrilled that My Name’5 Doddie Foundation is joining the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations to work together towards a World Free of ALS/MND. The Alliance is a big tent organization that enables global collaboration on Advocacy, Care and ALS/MND Scientific Research and there is significant alignment with the two organization's goals and values.”
