Pedalo For Doddie

18 August 2020

Bo'ness Rugby Club is on course to complete their virtual journey around the 6 Nations stadiums after a day of pedalo action at Falkirk's Helix Park.

The club had to postpone their planned Ben Nevis Challenge in June due to COVID so they decided to complete the 3,600 mile 6 Nations challenge to keep their fundraising efforts going. To cross the Irish Sea, they came up with the idea of using a Pedalo!

One of the organisers, Mark Macdonald, said: "Pedalo 4 Doddie was a fantastic day, we had a blast and we smashed our target. We managed to have at least one pedalo on the water from 9am to 3pm. We racked up over 150 miles which is the English channel, Irish Sea from Wales into Ireland, then back from Ireland into Scotland. It was a fantastic effort and we had some great rugby legends join us who all seemed to enjoy what we had put on."

The group will complete their challenge on September 5th and will walk the final 18 miles from Bo'ness to Murrayfield.
