Prestigious racehorse named 'Doddie's Impact'

Cross Channel Racing has been inspired by Doddie's story and the fantastic work the Foundation has done so far and have worked with the Foundation to name a new horse for the 2023 turf season called ‘Doddie’s Impact’. We are pleased to welcome them as one of our our new charity partners.

Doddie's Impact will be aimed at the prestigious Brocklesby Stakes, the opening two-year-old race of the 2023 turf season hosted at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday April 1st. We will host a large group of both current, and perspective members on the day to support Doddie's Impact in the race. The experience of racehorse ownership is like no other and on the day, you will gain first-hand experience of what it's like to be an owner.

"This strong colt, a son of Pearl Secret, has been named in Doddie’s honour. He has a long, purposeful walk, well-developed shoulders, with a powerful middle frame and a lightly sprung rib cage. His pedigree was a standout to us at the yearling sales last year and he's done nothing but impress us since in terms of both his physical development and temperament. He is growing stronger by the day and will soon be ready to burn up the track!" - Trainer, Robyn Brisland.

CCR are committed to honour Doddie's legacy, and therefore a portion of every membership, prize money and sales proceeds will go straight to the Foundation or every horse a member is involved. We strongly believe that through our growing network and experience within horse racing, we can build on the support of such an important Foundation.
