Rat Race Coast To Coast

A couple of intrepid fund raising Scotland rugby fans have been inspired to ride the challenging Rat Race Coast to Coast for the Foundation in September. Patricia Irving and her boyfriend Keith Scott explain why they are embarking on this adventure.

A chance conversation last August introduced us to the event known as Rat Race Coast to Coast, which is a mere 105 miles across Scotland from Nairn to Ballachulish on foot, bicycle and kayak, with almost 11,000 feet of ascent. Easy!

The challenge is split into two days, with an overnight stop in Fort Augustus.

We are both rugby fans and regularly attend Murrayfield to watch Scotland play, we also travelled to Cardiff last year for the inaugural Doddie Cup match.  Doddie has inspired many with his courage and determination to fight this terrible disease which is why we have chosen to raise money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
