Ross Sutherland Rugby Club Tackle New Challenge
30 March 2021
30 March 2021
The club have launched a new challenge: March Into May.
From 28th March until 1st May Ross Sutherland Rugby Club members and friends will be fundraising to complete their rugby club extension and help tackle MND.
Many club members took part in Doddie Aid in January and enjoyed getting fresh air and exercise during a month when many people struggle with their mental health and wellbeing. Given the levels of participation to do such a challenge during January, the club are hoping for a big turnout given the lighter nights and warmer temperatures in Springtime.
The challenge will pitch five teams; Wester Ross & Skye, Easter Ross, Sutherland, Black Isle & Inverness and Exiles to see who can clock up the most miles and fundraising over the 34 days! Each team will have a captain who will help to motivate the team and keep those miles and fundraising totals on the up!
The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has close links with rugby and after holding a fundraiser back in 2018, club members agreed they would like to do more to support the amazing work the MND Foundation do.
March into May was born and you can see their website here.
