The Great Rugby Gen!us Quiz

Test your rugby knowledge in our Great Rugby Gen!us Quiz nights - hosted by a different quizmaster every Friday!

During the current COVID-19 lockdown, many charities are receiving little or no funds. As we are all in lockdown and our movements are restricted the Quiz has been created to combine the two, and help raise some funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and also have a bit of quiz fun. Alex Payne from the House of Rugby is hosting the inaugural event with Bruce Aitchison, Jill Douglas, Scott Hastings, Andrew Trimble and Nick Knowles all set to host further editions!

The first quiz will cover the 80's which was an era that had two B&I Lions tours, the first Rugby World Cup and a few Grand Slams. Joining the quiz is free to all but we encourage a small donation paid via Pay Pal account. https://paypal.me/pools/c/8os2QEpAfx Anyone who donates will be entered into the prize draw, where we have some Gen!us beer and goodies to give away and some rugby memorabilia.

The quiz is streaming live from the YouTube Channel: GreatRugbyGen!usQuiz

Organiser Stuart Thom said: “The Great Rugby Cycle was due to head round Ireland in April, however due to the COVID19 outbreak we have had to postpone until 2021, but I wanted to help support the Foundation during lockdown. As a bit of a rugby anorak I thought it would be "good to get as many people engaged as possible and have a quiz."

There is no cost to join but we encouraging people to donate and by doing so your name will be entered into the prize draw to get your hands on some goodies from Gen!us Beer and rugby memorabilia.. Join in have some fun, as what else can we do during lockdown, and there are only so many times we can watch the re-run of the 1990 Grand Slam decider..!”
