Aberfeldy Rugby Club LEJOG x2 Fundraiser
Saturday 18 May 2024
Feldy Roo Fitness Trail, The Fountain, Aberfeldy, PH15 2DD
Can Aberfeldy walk from Lands End to John O Groats.... and back again, all in one day? The challenge has been set, all in aid of My Name'5 Doddie Foundation!
As the FeldyRoo Fitness Trail officially opens in Aberfeldy, Aberfeldy RFC have set the community a challenge on Saturday 18th May to try and walk or run 1748 laps of the trail in just 12 hours (8am-8pm).
The day will mark the official opening of the FeldyRoo Fitness Trail and is seeking to rasie funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation as they do so.
There will be a lot going on on the day with food, music and a licenced bar for those in need of refreshements after contributing their efforts for the cause.
Aberfeldy Rotary Club will be marshalling on the day and have the onerous task of counting each lap.
Have a look at the attached poster for more details, and support Aberfeldy's efforts by visiting their JustGiving page here.
The event is timed to coincide with Peter Delaney passing through Aberfeldy on his personal fund raising cycle ride from Lands End to John o'Groats. Peter is an ex rugby player and Rotarian who sadly lost his wife to MND, and you can find out more about his efforts on his Give as You Live page here.
