Festive Doddie Dash

Join Dalkeith Country Park for the Festive Doddie Dash, and run off some of the pre-Christmas excitement with either the 1K Elf Dash or 5K Santa Dash, starting in front of Dalkeith Palace.

Each participant will get a Doddie tartan medal and festive Doddie hat included in their ticket fee, with all profits going to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Prizes will be given out to the best festively dressed elf and most jolly looking dressed up dog. So grab your Christmas cheer, put on your running shoes and sign up now! 

The day will be full of festive fun for all ages and also include face painting, photo opportunities, Christmas games and Doddie merchandise.

1K Elf Dash

The 1K Elf Dash is the perfect way to get the younger members of your family running headfirst into Christmas. Open to all, including babies in buggies, littler legs (age 11 and under) and all your four-legged friends. The 1K route is flat and accessible along a section of The Park’s King’s Drive. The Elf Dash will be held on 15 December at 10.00, with registration open from 9.00 and we encourage you to arrive in plenty of time to register. Child and adult tickets are priced at £5. If you don’t wish to run but want to cheer on your child from the side-lines, there is no need to buy an adult ticket. 

5K Santa Dash

Don your festive Doddie hat and join hundreds of other Santa’s on this jovial 5km jog through Dalkeith Country Park! The Santa Dash will be held on 15 December at 11.00, with registration open from 9.00 and we encourage you to arrive in plenty of time to register. Child tickets (12-17 years) are priced at £7.50 and adult tickets are priced at £10. 

For both races, doggy participants don’t need a ticket but must be kept on a lead.
