Hugo's 10k a Day for Doddie Aid
Sunday 01 January 2023 to Saturday 11 February 2023
Former Scottish Rugby and Wasps player Hugo Southwell has pledge to complete 10k every day throughout Doddie Aid to raise funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and Maggies. That's 6 weeks and over 250 miles!
Hugo has said "Doddie has meant so much to so many people and was such a special person. I wasn’t fortunate enough to play with him but I worked with him at Murrayfield post our rugby careers and I was very lucky to spend some great times with him and create some amazing memories. He has created a legacy for us all to follow and we will continue to do whatever we can to try and help raise the the money to fund a cure for MND. This though is not just about the players within the sporting community(which is well documented) suffering from this terrible disease, this is about every person having to battle this brutal illness.
I am also raising money for Maggies. Recently we have had a cancer diagnosis in the family that came completely out of the blue. Maggies have been an absolutely incredible support for the whole of our family and will continue to be moving forward. They do an amazing job for anyone and everyone suffering from cancer and provide a support service that is second to none. I am therefore also raising money for Maggies centres by doing this challenge.
I completely understand and appreciate the difficult times that everyone is going through at the moment, so any support towards these two amazing charities will go along way in helping them in their respective ways."
