Jim's 500+ mile cycle to the Rugby World Cup

Tuesday 05 September 2023 to Sunday 24 September 2023

Stade De Nice, Nice, France

Jim Gordon will be cycling 500+ miles, arriving in Nice in time for the Scotland vs Tonga Rugby World Cup fixture on 24th September. Jim has decided to take on this challenge whislt fundraising in aid of My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, as he believes the charity is doing tremendous work to support research and look for a cure, and wants to do his own bit to help.

Setting out on September 5th, Jim will be cycling without support or back-up for at least 500 miles, from Lancanau Océane, on the Atlantic Coast near Bordeaux, via Toulouse, to The Mediterranean Coast at Sète, and onwards to Avignon, as he makes his way to Scotland v Tonga, RWC 2023. Jim said "I intend to camp in my bivvy most nights - more of a challenge to a 63 year old than the cycle!

I will post updates of my travels every evening ( you don't have to read them! ), as I undergo my final decent challenge before knee surgery."

With a fundraising goal of £1,000, please do consider support Jim with his challenge, to help raise funds for vital research.
