The Great Rugger Run 2023

Tim will be running from rugby club to rugby club in August and aiming to cover over 1000km's (A Million Metres!) on the challenge. Following the 2022 Scotland run and 2021 from Lands End to London, both of which Tim found incredibly fulfilling and led him to feel inspired to take The Great Rugger Run to new frontiers.

In his own words "This challenge combines my love of running and travel to give something back to rugby, the game that has given so much to me. In its simplest form, this is a sponsored run.

However, The Great Rugger Run is much more than that. It is a journey across a rugby landscape, meeting the characters and hearing about the legends. It’s a search through clubhouses for history and memorabilia. It’s a new kind of rugby tour.

MND is destroying lives. I watched from afar as my former team-mate, Mike Crisp, bravely battled it and the high-profile cases of Rob Borrow, and Doddie Weir and now Ed Slater have raised more awareness of this cruellest of diseases. It’s with this in mind that I will be supporting the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation during this year’s Great Rugger Run."
